The Book Nook: July 2019 TBR

It is July which means we are officially at the half way mark of 2019. This year is crawling and flying all at the same time and I truly don’t know how to feel about it. What I do know is that I have been consistent in my reading and by the grace of God I have actually been keeping up with my challenge and I’m honestly shocked. Just to give a refresh, update and some stats. I am on a quest to read 150 new to me books in 2019. The break down to keep up is 13 books a month to finish by December 31st. So far I have maintained that pace. I keep up with my books in these blog posts, my bullet journal and on Goodreads! Per Goodreads I am 14 books ahead of schedule and I have read 88 books so far. I have crossed the half way mark of 75 books by 13 and next month I will hit 100 books and I am so excited. What I am realizing is that even though I plan a TBR every month— I often end up not totally following it and that is okay. I so far have actually read a lot of the books I put on my TBRs just not necessarily when I planned to haha. So here is my very flexible reading list for the month of July:

  • More Than Enough Elaine Wentworth

  • With the Fire On High Elizabeth Acevedo

  • The Hundred Dresses Erin McKean

  • Cozy Isabel Gilles

  • A Gathering Shadows VE Schwab

  • Circe Madeline Miller

  • The Handmaid’s Tale Margaret Atwood

  • The Body Keeps Score Bessel Van Der Kolk

  • The Four Hour Work Week Timothy Ferris

  • The Wedding Party Jasmine Guillory

  • The Game of Desire Shannon Boodram

  • Leah Off The Beat Becky Albertalli

Some of these are repeats because I had to return them before I finished—I still check out most of my books from the library #booknerdonabudget. What is your game plan for July? What are you reading this month? Let me know in the comments!
